MCC Cadet Training Handbook

The comprehensive instructional guide and code of conduct for all enrolled student cadets across Classes 7 to 10.

Chapter 1: The MCC Cadet Creed & Ethos

The MCC Code of Conduct emphasizes unwavering patriotism, absolute honesty, prompt obedience to legitimate command, punctuality, and mutual respect among squad members. A cadet must hold the honor of the nation first, the welfare of the detachment second, and personal comfort last.

Chapter 2: Foot Drill & Ceremonial Parade Protocol

Standard commands: Savdhan (Attention), Vishram (Stand at Ease), Dahine Mur (Right Turn), Baen Mur (Left Turn), Piche Mur (About Turn), and Tezz Chal (Quick March). Cadets learn squad dress-dressing, salute protocol, and marching rhythm maintained at 120 paces per minute.

Chapter 3: The 10-Obstacle Military Assault Course

Standard military obstacle mastery: Straight Balance, Clear Jump, Zig-Zag Balance, High Wall (6 ft vertical wooden board scale with buddy-assist technique), Ditch Jump (6 ft pit clearance), Tiger Leap (elevated platform jump), Ramp Jump, and Tarzan Swing.

Chapter 4: Map Reading, Contours & Prismatic Compass

Topographical map analysis, conventional military signs, 4-figure and 6-figure Military Grid References (MGRS), finding magnetic North with liquid prismatic compass, calculating forward and back bearings, and setting night navigation marches.

Chapter 5: Emergency First Aid, CPR & Disaster Triage

Primary survey (DRABC), Hands-only CPR protocols (100-120 chest compressions per minute), improvised stretcher construction using blankets and bamboo poles, burn management, snakebite first-response, and earthquake evacuation triage.

Chapter 6: Field Craft, Bivouacs & Wilderness Survival

Camouflage and concealment, judging distance, field signals, pitching two-man tactical bivouac tents, knot-tying (reef knot, clove hitch, bowline), and water filtration using layered sand, charcoal, and cloth.
